BrandGhost's Products tab tracks the products, services, or categories you want your business to be found for online, and can automatically score how well the market can discover each one — then hand you a plan to improve it.
Part 1 — Add products to your portfolio
Open the Products tab from your dashboard.
You can add products two ways:
Option A — Discover from your site (recommended for a fast start)
- Click Discover from site.
BrandGhost scans your website on file and suggests products, services, or categories worth being known for, each with a short description, target audience, and the evidence page it was found on.
Uncheck anything you don't want, then click Import selected.
Each imported product is automatically queued for analysis (see Part 2).
Option B — Add a product manually
-
Click New Product.
-
Fill in:
-
Name — e.g. "Vintage Denim"
-
Description — what you offer and what makes it different
-
Target audience — who it's for
-
Website URL (optional) — a page BrandGhost can crawl to score representation
-
Competitors (optional) — names or URLs, press Enter to add each
-
Business goals (optional) — e.g. "Rank for 'vintage denim NYC'"
-
-
Click Create. The product is added and analysis starts automatically.
Part 2 — Analyze a product
Analysis runs automatically right after a product is created or imported — you'll see a toast reading "Analyzing representation…". You don't have to trigger it yourself, but you can re-run it any time.
Reviewing an analysis
-
Click into a product from the list to open its assessment.
-
The top of the page shows an overall score (0–100) with a Strong / Fair / Needs work label, plus a breakdown by weighted component (e.g. how well the product shows up in search, how complete your content is, etc.).
-
Below that, the Assessment tab shows:
-
Strengths — what's already working
-
Weaknesses — what's holding representation back
-
Gaps — missing signals or assets (e.g. no dedicated landing page, no case studies)
-
Competitors — how you compare, if any were provided
-
-
Where a gap has a matching content fix, you'll see a Generate…button (e.g. "Generate blog", "Generate FAQ", "Generate social post"). Clicking it opens the content creation flow pre-filled with that recommendation.
-
The Create Product Campaign button lets you launch a focused content campaign built around this product.
Re-running analysis
- To refresh a single product's score after making changes, open it and use the re-analyze action on its card.
- To refresh every product at once, click Re-analyze all at the top of the Products tab. Score changes since the last run show inline (▲/▼) next to each product.
Tips
- Adding a website URL and competitors gives the analysis more to work with — scores and gaps get more specific.
- Re-analyze after you've acted on recommendations (published a blog, added a case study) to see your score move.
- Deleting a product also deletes its assessment history — this can't be undone.
What's next
Use the Generate… buttons on any gap or recommendation to turn it directly into a blog post or social post draft — see How to Review Your Blog Drafts.
